ANOTHER TRAGIC ROAD ACCIDENT

Five labourers of private construction company died

Kishtwar: At least five labourers of a private construction company died in a road accident, where as another one got injured, when the vehicle they were boarding was on its way from Padder to Kishtwar.
According to the reports, the ill fated tipper bearing registration No: JK02T-0313 owned by G.M.T construction meet with an accident near Shasho some 30 kilometers from Kishtwar on Kishtwar-Himachal National Highway, when the driver of the ill fated tipper Madan Lal (32 yrs) son of Baghat Singh resident of Padyarna lost his control over the sand laden vehicle and plunged it into the river chenab, resulting into the death of five labourers on spot and injury to one other, who was later shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar. Five labourers were also in the vehicle. The condition of the injured person is said to be stable. He has been identified as Sanjay Kumar (28 yrs) son of Gulab Chand resident of Padyarna.
As soon as the news of the accident reach Kishtwar large no of people along with police rush towards the spot and shifted the injured Sanjay Kumar to District Hospital Kishtwar. As per the statement of the injured Sanjay Kumar the other labourers who were on board on ill fated vehicle at the time accident were identified as Madan Lal son of Baghal Singh (Driver), Dev Raj (36 yrs) son of Lakhmi Chand, Gulab Chand (45 Yrs), Hem Raj (37) son Faqir Chand and Robby Singh (35 Yrs) son of Jai Lal all resident of Padyarna Kishtwar. A major rescue operation was launched by the police and administration with the help of the army to retrieve the bodies of the victims from the water of the river Chenab.
